Insect & Herp Expert Dr. Wang Lei | China Wildlife Tour

Dr. Wang Lei is an insect ecologist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Sichuan University, with over 15 years of field experience across China. His field surveys also cover reptiles, amphibians, and mammals.

He has led scientific biodiversity surveys across Wenchuan, Seda, Kangding, Qingchuan, and Jiulong, and contributed to the renovation of the Insect Museum at the Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

His research includes developing biological pest control using parasitoid wasps for Fall Armyworm management. He is the author or co-author of nine books, including “Animals of Chengdu Wildflora” and “The Biodiversity of Seda County.”
