CWT Founder Philip He | Birding & Cultural Tour Guide

Philip He is a half-Kangba Tibetan from Ganzi Prefecture and the founder of China Wildlife Tour. Before CWT, he worked as a mining technician, educator, and translator.

Philip began birding in 2003 as an assistant for Tropical Birding in Ganzi. A self-taught birder, he is now fluent in English and Japanese and is also a wildlife photographer.

With over 20 years of experience, Philip leads birding, mammal-watching, and botanical tours across China. He has served as a guide for BBC programs and led Buddhist grotto tours for directors of UK museums. He is known for designing off-the-beaten-path itineraries that combine wildlife with Kangba Tibetan culture.
