Above and Beyond in Every Way – A Truly Exceptional Wildlife Experience

Mar 2026 • SoloI recently traveled with AbsolutePanda on a fully customized one-week mammal trip to the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

From the very beginning, communication was outstanding – swift, professional, and genuinely customer-focused. Planning the trip with them was seamless and enjoyable.

What truly sets them apart, however, is their level of care. Just before my flight to Xining, I fell ill and reached out for guidance. Instead, Wendy personally picked me up from the hotel, accompanied me to the hospital, and stayed for hours to assist with translation. She only left once her colleague Karen arrived, who remained with me until I was discharged about 10 hours later. I have never experienced such compassion and dedication from a travel agency.

I proceeded with the trip, which exceeded all expectations. My guide, Philip He, was exceptional – knowledgeable, flexible, and deeply committed to ensuring the best possible experience. Without me even asking, the team upgraded my accommodation from a basic ranger station to a nearby hotel for added comfort, which meant extra effort, long drives, and less sleep for Philip.

They also handled last-minute flight changes on my end effortlessly – nothing was ever too much trouble.

From a wildlife perspective, the trip was a big success too. While sightings can never be guaranteed, Philip's expertise and local connections made all the difference. We saw an incredible range of species, including Tibetan fox, wolf, lynx, Pallas's cat, kiangs, raptors, Przewalski's gazelles, partridges, and more.

An outstanding experience from start to finish – professional, thoughtful, and truly above and beyond.
